Mixologie's No. 05 compiles a lot of interesting tracks mainly in the realm of brainy synths and glittering electronics. The cover art took a change as well, sans the back. We like to think this mix will inspire a bit of dancing and a bit of thinking to push you through February. But that's all in the ears of the listener, of course.

It's a new year, a new month and with that brings a new mixtape. No. 04 continues the Mixologie series with a diverse selection of songs that gives us much anticipation for tunes the coming year will bring us. Clearly, recent subfreezing temperatures and dwindling daylight hours this winter has inspired much darker and subdued artwork. Stay warm and enjoy!

In this last Mixologie installment of '09, we bring you thirty of our personal favorites in two parts. Part I features some hefty indie pop and rock gems and Part II is devoted to some great danceable grooves.

We've been flooded with heaps of new music in the past month making No. 03 pretty hard to narrow down. With that said, these thirteen songs seem to maintain an overall upbeat flavor. With plenty of bouncy beats and lyrics, many of these songs would be the perfect musical backdrop for any apple commercial.

Mixologie's No. 02 introduces more new tunes and new artwork with a healthy dose of quirkiness for November. This mixtape is chockfull of new indie-pop gems with interesting syncopation and sounds and has proved be a good boost of whimsy to our work day.

There’s a bottle of champagne opening, a woman sitting poolside in stilettos, lights are dimming and Smoke, Haze & Honey is the soundtrack to it all. This mix is an amalgam of some very sexy and smoldering songs we’ve loved in recent years. From start to finish, it’s a slow-burning trip lush with the old and new and new sounding like old.

These numbered Mixologie mixtapes will be an ongoing leg in the series packed with new music we're listening to. No. 01 kicks off with pretty eclectic fare with some new faces and some old. It's just the kind of stuff to keep the creative juices flowing.

An important aspect to any design business is a strong process, and it's no different for us here at One by Four. Our name became a clear choice to identify our ideals and mission that four are working together as one. Concurrently, we wanted to create a logo to reflect this theme.
